Privacy notice
Last updated 23 September 2026. Short version: we only keep what you type into our two forms, we do not sell or share it, and there is no tracking on this site.
Who we are
This website is run by ProjectThunder.com, Inc. (“we”), the developer of WOLF ASCENT. Contact: privacy@projectthunder.com. Postal address: ProjectThunder.com, Inc., California, USA.
What we collect and why
Download sign-up (optional)
If you use “Sign up & download”, we record your email address, your name if you give one, the platform you chose, whether you asked for update emails, whether you signed up to download or to be told when a build is ready, the version of this notice you saw, the version and fingerprint of the game's licence agreement you accepted, and the time. We use it to:
- tell you once when a build for your platform becomes available, if it was not available when you signed up;
- warn you about serious problems with the build you downloaded, such as a fix you should install;
- send occasional news and new-build announcements, only if you ticked the updates box and confirmed it.
Update emails are double opt-in. Ticking the box sends you one email with a confirmation link. Until you follow it, you get no update emails. Every update email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days.
“Skip and download” records nothing about you.
Support messages
If you contact support, we keep your name, email, platform, topic, game version, message, the reference number we give you, and the time, so we can answer you and fix problems in the game.
Technical data
Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser details when you visit. We use them in memory to limit abuse, for example too many download requests from one address. Our server and application logs record requests and errors for security and troubleshooting; they do not contain what you type into the forms. We do not add IP addresses to the sign-up or support records.
Cookies
The site sets one strictly necessary cookie that protects its forms against cross-site request forgery. It holds no personal information.
The download page asks for your birth month and year. We use them only to check eligibility and do not store them. If the check fails, we set a cookie (wa_age) for 24 hours so the answer cannot simply be changed.
There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
No other company collects information about your activity over time or across other websites through this site, and we don't do that tracking ourselves. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals therefore change nothing here; we treat them as an opt-out of any sale or sharing, which we don't do anyway.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. It is only handled by the service providers that host this site and deliver our email, under their obligations to keep it confidential.
How long we keep it
- Sign-up records: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Support messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Server and application logs: up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can email privacy@projectthunder.com to see, correct, delete, restrict or export what we hold about you. You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests. We answer within 30 days.
California residents have the right to know what we collect and why, to access and delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, we rely on:
- your consent for update emails, which you can withdraw at any time;
- your request, for telling you when your build is ready, and our legitimate interest in warning you about serious problems with a build you downloaded, for sign-ups without the updates box;
- our legitimate interest in answering you and keeping the site secure, for support messages and technical data.
You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
